Hambo's Newest Bacon Bit!

Oink! Oink! There's a new Bacon Bit playing in the Pig Pen. Hambo Stamps has a new illustrator...Asela Hopkins. You may be familiar with Asela's images. She has created stamps for both Gina K and Cornish Heritage Farms. Asela will be working with Hambo Stamps to create her own line of digi stamps, Hop Art Designs, with the profits to benefit Operation Write Home.

For Asela's debut, each of the Bacon Bits created a card to spotlight one of her images. The image I used is called Clare and Danny. Here's my card...

I just love this image. It comes with two sentiments - You're so sweet and Here's a little something just for you. It's so adorable and could be used for so many ocassions.

Want to see Asela's other new digi stamps? Hop over to Hambo Stamps digi shop and check New Arrivals. Then stop by the Hoedown for links to the fabulous creations by all of the Bacon Bits. Then join in the fun.

I also entered my card into Simon Says Stamps, Anything Goes Challenge.

Cute Critters

This week The Cutting Cafe is featuring a really cute printable stamp set called Cute Critters. This set features over 58 images....plus the set features an additional sheet of most of the critters really small and can be punch out using a 1 inch circle punch. Here's what I created...

It's a tent card! I've been wanting to make one and decided to use these cute bees and behive and give it a try. Here's a side view...

I popped up the grass, beehive, and the bees for dimension. It's 41/4" square and folds flat to fit into an envelop. It's a fun card and easy to make. If you want to try one, there's a helpful tutorial on SCS in the Resources section. I plan to make some more.

I entered my card into Party Time Tuesdays' Anything Goes Challenge for this week. Check out their blog for some great inspiration.

More Easter Cards

A few more cards using images from Whimsie Doodles March release images...
The first one uses Egg Hunt. I printed the image twice, cut out the cute bunny butt, and popped it up to give it some added dimension.

This next card uses the image Painting Bunny. I used a piece of towel dipped into blending refill and dabbed it on the bunny to create  furry look.

I entered the first card in Challenge 14 -  Easter at Squirrel and Fox.

Happy Easter!

Easter Goodies

Easter is just around the corner and The Cutting Cafe has some very cute files, printable stamps and templates. I used the Easter Basket Template to make this cute Easter basket shaped card.

I love how this turned out. I used a textured card stock for the basket and weaved the bottom part of the basket. The sentiment is from another Cutting Cafe printable stamp set called Easter Elisha Jean & Friends. Be sure to check over at the Cutting Cafe's Blog for more samples from the very talented design team. Leave a comment and you might win your choice of any three Cutting Cafe sets.

The Hoedown Flasher

This week I'm celebrating St. Patty's Day with a Hoedown Challenge to use stripes on my project. When I saw Hambo's Flasher stamp and He's Not Irish sentiment, I knew I wanted to use them to make a card for my son Andy and a few of my friends who love an off-color joke now and then. I made a joy fold card because it seemed perfect for a flasher!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

VSN CHallenge

I enjoy playing in the Virual Stamp Night Challenges over at SCS, but I only had time to do one challenge this weekend. Here's my card for the Love Is in Bloom challenge to use a heart and/or the word love on your card.

I framed the cute Hambo Giraffe stamp and the Necks to You sentiment with die cut hearts.

If you love Hambo Stamps, and who doesn't, check out some  new rubber in stock now! Some of the most popular digi images have been put into a rubber format for the stamping purists who don't like using digi images. Here's the link: http://www.hambostamps.com/newarrivals.htm .

Also -- Hambo has updated their Sale page with a bunch of designs that are marked down 33%, for a limited time.  The sale page is here: http://www.hambostamps.com/sale.htm .

This week the Cutting Cafe's DT is featuring two St. Patty's Day sets, Lucky Me Printable Stamp Set and the 4 Leaf Clover Shaped Card. I used Lucky Me. This set has fifteen sentiments and over 30 different clover designs, perfect for making a card for everyone. I used the friend sentiment to make a card for my BFF.

The clover background was made using Cutting Cafe's 4 Leaf Clover Background Set. So easy,  just print the background and cut a piece the size that you need. I had enough left to make a few more cards. If you're looking for some green inspiration, hop over to the Cutting Cafe.

Worm Wishes

I just love Worm Balloon and Worm Wishes from Hambo Stamps! Doesn't my worm look cute basking in the sun?

I wanted him to have a little "color" so I paper pieced him with paper from SU's Rainbow Sherbet DSP. I colored the background with my Copics and sponged the sky with SU Bashful Blue ink. I paper pieced the balloon and popped it up. Then popped up the the image on the sun.
The Sun Shaped cutting file is from The Cutting Cafe. The set comes with a matching size envelop, 2 circle word sentiments, 2 regular sentiments and 2 optional top layer sentiments.
So here's sending you "Worm Wishes"...spring is just around the corner !

Challenges I've enter my card into:
Scrapalicious - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

WD March Release

It's time for some new Whimsie Doodle images. This month's release welcomes some new additions to the Whimsie Doodles family, The Social Teens, along with some cute Easter images and sentiments. I used  Easter Sentiments to make my project along with the jelly bean goody bag holder and jelly bean background set from the Cutting Cafe.

Be sure to check out Whimsie Doodles new release and the Cutting Cafe's Easter sets. You'll love them both.

Whimsie Doodle Easter Cards

I can't believe that Easter is just around the corner! Whimsie Doodles has some really cute Easter digis. Here are two cards I made using Lizzie and Jayson.
Easter Lizzie

Easter Jayson

Easter Lizzie will be an Easter card for my granddaughter Emma who loves purple. I'm not sure what I'll do with Easter Jayson...no little boys in our family to give this to, but I'm sure one of my friends will claim it to use!

Check back on March 5 to see the new March Whimsie Doodle digis. There are some really cute Easter ones that you don't want to miss.

I'm also submitting my cards to CMC Copic Challenge #37 to use fun, bright colors.
