Whimsie Doodle Catch-up!

I've been neglecting my Whimsie Doodle images lately...so many images, so little time! LOL! Anyway here are a two cards I made with a few of the May images...just a few days late!!

The first one used the Flowers image along with a paper piercing pattern from Fred She Said.

The next one uses Buzz in the Air. It's hard to see in the photo but I used a Friskar's honeycomb texture plate to emboss the background (click on it to see it better). It looks just like a beehive!

Be sure to check back in a few days and see the new images in the June release...very cute and summery!

Hello Autumn

It's hard to believe that Autumn is right around the corner. Hambo Stamps's challenge this week is to use FLOWERS digi to make a project showing off the colors of Autumn. Here's my "Hello" to Autumn.
I used Really Rust, Olive Green & So Saffron as my colors of Autumn. I printed the flowers twice so I could cut out the centers. Then I  stamped the letters on the centers using Karen Foster Snap Stamps and popped them up with dimensionals. The digi comes with flower bud too. I used it on the inside of my card, but forgot to take a picture.

Be sure to visit the Hoedown & see what the other Bacon Bits have created using autumn colors.

Score with Geraniums

Score one this week with the Hoedown challenge! Use the Geranium digi or any Hambo digi or stamp and score your project. I decided to go CAS (clean & simple) with my card. My card is 41/2" square. I used my ScorBuddy and scored a frame around the image, colored it with Copics and matted it on SU Gray cardstock.  The sentiment is a rub-on.

Be sure to visit the Hoedown and see what the other DT members designed to inspire you. Then score, score! score!

Look What I Made!

What a great day ...fun, food, friends and stamping! Amanda was a perfect hostess and planned some beautiful cards for us to make. We got to play with some new things - the Basketweave and Framed Tulips embossing folders, the new seam binding ribbon and the Nature Walk stamp set. We even used designer fabric to make a card with a matching candle.Take a look.

Thank you Amanda for a wonderful day.

Gift for a Friend

I made this gift basket for my friend Amanda. Amanda is a very special person. She's so generous & shares her talent and her love of crafting with her friends. Every few months she organizes a shoebox swap that is so much fun. There's always a waiting list to attend. Tomorrow I'm going to Amanda's house for a fun day of eating. laughing and crafting. I can't wait to see what she has planned for us. .

Thank you Amanda!
