Welcome Summer!

When I get hungry for something cool and refreshing on a hot, humid summer day, the first thing that comes to my mind is ice cream! I made this card for SCS Free For All Challenge. The challenge is celebrating July by making a card that highlights one of the holidays listed on this link  Fun & Funky July Holidays. There are some really different holidays but I chose a tame one, July 17, National Ice Cream Day.

This cool image is Ice Cream Man digi by Hambo Stamps. I paper pieced the umbrella and ice cream cart. I made the background look like Neopolitan ice cream by embossing the cardstock with Cuttlebug's Divine Swirls folder. I used my Scor Buddy to make the ice cream cone layer. I love how this card turned out. What better way to welcome summer than with ice cream!

  1. Oh, what a yummy card! Love the 3 flavors of ice cream and what a great idea to do the ice cream cone! WOW! Great job, Paula!

  2. So cute and when I looked at it I thought it looked like an ice cream cone. Great job.

  3. LOVE THIS ONE! My favorite colors and my favorite ice cream!

Thanks for taking the time to make comments. I love reading them!
