This week's Hambo Hoedown challenge is all about CIRCLES. The challenge is
to use the digi Cells or any
other Hambo image, rubber or digital, and create a project that incorporates
circles. When I saw the sentiment "Caught a Bug?" with the digi image, I knew what I wanted to make...a Get Well Kit. My inspiration came from a kit made by Carolyn King that I saw on her blog, Kings on Paddington. Here's my version using Cells and circles!
The outside...
The inside (sentiment from Hambo's digi Doghouse Blues) ...
The kit includes tissues, cough drops, chapstick and teabags, all things to help someone with a cold feel better. Add a crossword puzzle book and/or a paperback book and I'm all ready to cheer up any of my friends or family that are under the weather.

Buzzzz...
This week's Hoedown challenge is to make a monochromatic card using Mosquito digi by Hambo Stamps. I made a get well card that I think will be perfect the next time someone I know catches a bug!
The idea for the magnifying glass came from a card that I made at a shoebox swap designed by a stamping friend Theresa Saylor. The sentiment is a Hambo rubber stamp Caught a Bug. Hambo Stamps also has a rubber stamp, Magnifying Glass, that would go great with this sentiment. Here's a close up of the image.
I tried to give the mosquito's eyes a buggy look with Crystal Effects but ruined my image twice! I finally used a glaze pen on the eyes and wings to give them a shiny translucent look.
Buzz on over to the Hoedown and check out what the rest of the Bacon Bits have made for this challenge. Then let's see what you can do with that pesky mosquito!

Feeling 'Ruff'?
Another adorable image from Hambo stamps! This week the challenge is to use Doghouse Blues digi by Hambo Stamps to create a project that incorporates a dog bone or dog tag. If you are using another Hambo image, you are required to use a metal charm on your project. I have been wanting to try the center step card and decided that this was a good opportunity. SCS has a good tutorial along with a video which was very helpful since I'm a visual learner. After watching the video a few times, here's what I came up with...
Can you find the bone/bones on my card? LOL! I used an old scrapbooking template to make the big bone! It's a good thing I rarely throw anything away. Afterall I might need it sometime!
This digi also comes with another sentiment...I Miss You.
Be sure to hop over to the Hambo Hoedown and check out what the other Bacon Bites have created. Then join the Hoedown and share your creation.
I also posted this card for the Get Well challenge at Spoon Full of Sugar.
